Course Objectives
Qualification has been created to develop further the competencies and expertise of professionals who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

Entry Requirements
This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 and above. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a Level 2 qualification.
The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access and progression. Entry to the qualification will be through centre interview and learners will be assessed on an individual basis.
In certain circumstances, individuals with considerable experience but no formal qualifications may be considered, subject to interview and being able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the demands of the programme.

Phlebotomists and other certified healthcare workers usually get jobs at blood banks or NHS/private hospitals. In this role, they take patient blood samples, which are subsequently examined in labs to help with illness and condition diagnosis.
We offer support through our Work Experience Program to address the prevalent requirement for vein puncture experience on job applications. Through this program, people can obtain an official reference letter from our organization and develop vital abilities and self-assurance in drawing blood.

Entry Requirements
In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be checked for appropriate enrolment to UK higher education postgraduate programmes where applicable. The applicants are normally required to produce two supporting references, at least one of which should preferably be academic.
